Solutions Engineer

Job Purpose:

  • Assist in maximizing all revenue opportunities by accurately representing all iTradeNetwork offerings based on a customer’s specific requirements and expectations
  • Assist in validating project objectives and deliverables with customers
  • Work with the necessary departments to accurately design and estimate the effort required for the project
  • Assist in preparing for and conducting customer reviews
  • Assist in special projects as needed when input from the solutions team is required

Job Duties:

  • Become the subject matter expert in assigned solutions by learning the solution, staying on top of new developments, knowing how to properly configure and demonstrate the solution, understanding the features, functions, and benefits of the solution, and how to best align solutions with customer requirements
  • Assist sales and account management during the qualifying and due diligence phases to determine which solutions best meet the customer’s requirements and then demonstrating those solutions accurately and professionally
  • Assist sales and account management to validate expectations, requirements, and time frames with customers and communicate them to the appropriate departments to help prioritize, streamline, and expedite the design phase including the effort required
  • Understand the resources required and work with those resources to properly design and determine the effort required to complete the project
  • Work with assigned accounts to understand their current deployment and work with the assigned account managers to provide key metrics and other assistance during scheduled business reviews
  • Be available for special projects as needed when input from the solutions team is required
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
  • Identify and communicate additional opportunities to maximize and streamline revenue
  • Identify and communicate new tools or processes that will make the solutions group more effective
